How we got to know the Weerribben-Wieden.
Honestly spoken, before we owned our own house in Ossenzijl, we've never heard of the Weerribben-Wieden Nationalpark :).
After our first trip to Ossenzijl during our search for a new waterfronthome we came to Ossenzijl and got the chance to make a short trip by boat through the waterways of the Nationalpark.
- After that tour, the decision was clear - as we fall directly in love with this place & the surrounding nature.
Our experience.
In a few words: Outstanding; beautiful; untouched nature
There are felt hundreds of miles of small waterways throughout the Wieden while being surrounded by trees and reed fields it is one of the places where you get to know the deeper meaning of the words untouched nature. You can see thousands of birds, dugs, storches, and even sometimes some little watersnakes (being said they are not dangerous :P).
